PEP TALK SESSIONS

In Pep Talk Sessions I help girls and young women identify barriers and challenge self-limiting beliefs and actions as a means of helping to become open to new possibilities.  I provide encouragement and support to embrace change as they work to reignite their spark, find balance and purpose in their lives, or just overcome a particular roadblock. FOR PSYCHOLOGISTS

I have a M.A in counselling psychology from Yorkville University and a B.A in education from Lakehead University. I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers, and the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists, and Psychotherapists. I am in the process of registering with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. In addition, I have more than 15 years of experience in education, including special education, behavioural services, and psycho-educational services. I have worked as a regular class teacher, special education resource teacher, learning resource teacher, behavioural consultant and psychometrist. I have knowledgeable in a range of assessments including Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, and social-emotional concerns. I have also worked with sensitive populations including youth in treatment programs, at-risk youth, and youth with complex social-emotional concerns. Currently, I perform psycho-educational assessments, under the supervision of Registered Psychologists, on students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and social-emotional concerns. As well, I offer counselling to individuals with mood and anxiety disorders.
